ND, Minot -- Minot State fought back from a 1-0 deficit to take down Wayne State 3-2 Sunday (Oct. 12) at home at Herb Parker Stadium.
The win improved Minot State's record to 4-5-2 overall and 4-2-2 in NSIC action.
How it Happened
Wayne State started the scoring when Reagan Allen scored in the fourth minute, assisted by Kaylee Herall.
The Beavers leveled the match on a goal from Sabrina Amezcua -- her third goal of the season -- in the seventh minute, assisted by Anna Miotto and Elsa Duquesne.
Minot State then grabbed a 2-1 lead on Miotto's 10th-minute goal, her sixth of the season. Adriana Gonzalez and Leah Salas assisted the goal.
The Wildcats tied the match at 2-2 with a 10th-minute goal from Morgan Mancuso.
Minot State ended the scoring and grabbed a 3-2 lead on Salas' first goal of the season in the 49th minute, assisted by Duquesne.Â

Head coach Chris Logan said "We had a good game against a strong opponent; we had to dig it out against the win in the second half, and the team did a good job of digging in, to get the result they did."
