The Minot State women's soccer team heads into their third weekend of NSIC play with momentum on their side after a perfect 2-0 weekend.
Last Friday, the Beavers earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Concordia-St. Paul, with an explosive goal from Anna Miotto. They carried that momentum into Sunday, where they put together an impressive 4-1 win over Winona State. Four different Beavers found the back of the net in the contest — Giselle Nash, Anna Miotto, Emerie Campbell, and Brittney Egbert — showcasing the team's balanced attack across all positions.
With those two victories, Minot State picked up a crucial six points in the NSIC standings and improved their confidence heading into a challenging road weekend. Anna Miotto & Rebecca Sargent were both named NSIC players of the week.
The Beavers will look to continue their winning streak as they travel to face Minnesota Duluth on Thursday, October 3rd at 6 p.m., before a quick turnaround to take on Bemidji State on Saturday, October 5th at 1 p.m.
