MINOT, ND -- The #4 Minot State Beavers women's hockey team wrapped up their weekend series against top ranked Liberty University on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 at the Maysa Arena. With the loss, the Beavers move to 6-4-6 on the season, while Liberty remains unbeaten at 16-0-0.

The first period featured strong defensive play and steady goaltending from both teams. Minot State generated quality chances early, but neither side was able to score.

Liberty broke through early in the second period when Isabelle Pelletier scored 2:19 into the period to give the Flames a 1-0 lead.

The Flames added to their lead early in the third period. Brielle Fussy scored at 3:16 into the period to make it 2-0, then struck again at 3:46 into the period on the power play to extend the lead to 3-0.

Liberty held a 46-18 advantage in shots on goal.
Jillian Ackerman delivered another strong performance for the Beavers with 43 saves on 46 shots, keeping Minot State within reach throughout the game. Liberty's Alexandra Keith stopped all 18 shots she faced to earn her second straight shutout.

Minot State finished 0-for-5 on the power play, and Liberty went 1-for-6 on the power play.

The Beavers now turn their attention to a two-game road series against Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. Game one is scheduled for Friday, December 5, at 5:00 pm, and game two is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, at 4:00 pm.
