LYNCHBURG, VA -- The #2 Minot State Beavers men's hockey team heads east this weekend for a showdown against #8 Liberty University. Game one is scheduled for Friday, December 5, at 11:59 pm (ET), and game two will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 7:00 pm (ET) in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Minot State arrives with a 12-1-1 record, while Liberty enters the weekend at 15-4-0.
The Beavers bring strong momentum into the series after a perfect 3-0-0 performance at the ACHA Showcase. Minot State earned victories over #8 UNLV (2-1), #17 Utah (4-2), and Arizona State (8-2) in a dominant three-day stretch.
Minot State holds a 12-2-0 all-time record against Liberty. The most recent matchup took place on November 22, 2024, when Liberty defeated the Beavers 5-2.

Colby Joseph continues to lead Minot State offensively with 19 points and a team high 11 goals. On the blue line,
Matthew Yakubowski leads all Beaver defensemen with 15 points, while Yakubowski and
Logan Rands share the team lead in goals among defensemen with 3 each. In goal,
William Dyke has been outstanding with a 9-1-1 record, a 0.926 save percentage, and a 1.90 goals against average.
Following the two-game series at Liberty, Minot State will travel to Jamestown, North Dakota, for a midweek matchup with the University of Jamestown on Wednesday, December 10, at 7:00 pm.
