MINOT, ND - The #6 ranked Minot State Beavers women's hockey team is set to open up WMCH Conference Tournament play against Midland University on Thursday, February 20 at 11:00 am in O'Fallon, Illinois. Barring the result in game one against Midland University, the Beavers would take on the winner of Liberty University vs. the University of Minnesota in the semi-final game on Friday, February 21, at either 2:30 pm or 6:00 pm, or the Beavers would take on TBA in a consolation game on Friday, February 21 at either 11:00 am or 1:00 pm. The final will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 1:00 pm. All games being played in the WMCH Conference Tournament are being hosted by McKendree University in O'Fallon, Illinois. Both Minot State and Midland boast impressive regular season records with Minot State having a record of 22-7-3, and Midland having a record of 25-6-1.
The Beavers are currently coming off of a two-game series against the University of Jamestown where they swept the series with a pair of shutout victories. In game one, on Friday, February 14, the Beavers defeated the University of Jamestown with a 1-0 overtime victory. In game two, on Saturday, February 15, the Beavers defeated the University of Jamestown by a final of 3-0. The Beavers will be looking to continue their momentum going into game one of the Conference Tournament against Midland.
