BLOOMINGTON, IL - The Minot State Beavers men's hockey team is moving on to the MCH Conference Tournament semi-final game with a 4-1 victory over Iowa State University in game one on Friday, February 21. The Beavers will be matching up with tournament host Illinois State in a semi-final game on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 pm in Bloomington, Illinois.
The Beavers opened up the scoring at 7:13 into the first period on a goal scored by
Trenton Curtis to take a 1-0 lead. Iowa State tied the game at 1-1 at 8:57 into the period on a goal scored by Dylan Hender.
Minot State took a 2-1 lead at 8:38 into the second period on a goal scored by
Matthew Yakubowski. Just over a minute later, the Beavers extended their lead to 3-1 on a goal scored by
Walker Jerome. Just before the end of the second period, the Beavers increased their lead to 4-1 on a goal scored by
Reid Arnold.
Minot State's goalie,
William Dyke held Iowa State scoreless throughout the third period, tallying 10 saves on 10 shots on goal, to secure the 4-1 victory.

Sheldin Howard were credited with assists in the game.
William Dyke led the way in goal for the Beavers, tallying 22 saves on 23 shots on goal to secure the victory, improving his record to 13-0-1.
Following the MCH Conference Tournament game one victory over Iowa State University, the Beavers will be back in action in the MCH Conference Tournament semi-final game against the Illinois State on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 pm in Bloomington, Illinois.
