Beavers open up ACHA National Tournament play with pool play games against Midland and Indiana Tech

MINOT, ND - The #5 ranked Minot State Beavers women's hockey team is set to open up the 2025 ACHA National Tournament with two pool play match-ups against Midland University and Indiana Tech. Game one, against Midland University, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 10:00 am in St. Louis, Missouri. Game two, against Indiana Tech, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, at 10:00 am in St. Louis, Missouri. To qualify for the semifinal game, on Thursday, March 20, the Beavers need to win their pool. The championship game will be held on Friday, March 21, at 12:00 pm, in St. Louis, Missouri. The Beavers currently hold a 24-8-2 regular season record. Midland currently holds a 26-7-1 regular season record, and Indiana Tech currently holds a 20-7-5 regular season record. 

Minot State is coming off of the WMCH Conference Tournament where they finished runner-up. In game one of the WMCH Conference tournament, the Beavers defeated Midland by a final score of 4-2. In the semifinal game of the WMCH Conference Tournament, the Beavers defeated Maryville University by a final score of 3-2. In the championship game of the WMCH Conference Tournament, the Beavers fell to Liberty University in a hard fought battle by a final score of 1-2. Throughout the Conference Tournament, the Beavers proved that they are more than ready for the ACHA National Tournament. 

Throughout the season, the Beavers have matched-up against Midland 7 times. Over those 7 games, Minot State is 3-4-0. The most recent match-up between these two teams took place in the WMCH Conference Tournament where the Beavers defeated Midland by a final score of 4-2. Over the years, Minot State has taken on Indiana Tech 5 times. Over those 5 games, the Beavers hold a 3-2-0 record. The most recent match-up against Indiana Tech took place back on October 27, 2023, where the Beavers defeated Indiana Tech by a final score of 1-0.

Following the two pool play match-ups on Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 19, against Midland University and Indiana Tech, the Beavers will need to win their pool to qualify for the semifinal game that takes place on Thursday, March 20. Semifinal game times are currently TBD.
