TUCSON, Ariz. -- Senior Brent Riddle racked up four hits to help lead the Minot State Beavers past the Mount Marty Lancers 18-17 on Saturday in the season opener for the Beavers at the Tucson Invitational.
Junior Ian Bauer (1-0) got the win out of the bullpen for Minot State (1-0 overall). The left-hander went 1.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing no walks and striking out two.
In addition to his four hits, Riddle had two RBI to lead the Beavers. Junior Noah Madas furnished a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-6 with a home run and six RBI. Junior Gunnar Kozlowitz also helped out for Minot State, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding a double, two walks and three RBI.
