The Beavers golf teams started off their season today at the Don Niskanen Classic for the men's team and the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament for the women's team in Bemidji, Minnesota.
On the men's side, The Beavers are currently sitting in 6th and are led by
Max Karnik. Karnik sits in a five-way-tie for 7th shooting par. Next up for the Beavers is
Gunther Soltvedt who is tied for 18th shooting 3 over par.
Gage Olson,
Kasen Rostad, and
Zach Hendrickson finished the day in a tie for 43rd shooting 7 over par. The men's team concluded the day shooting 17 over par.
Bemidji State finished the day in the lead on the men's side shooting a team total of 7 under par. Bemidji State is led by senior, Logan Schoepp, who shot seven under par on the day.
On the women's side, the Beavers finished the first day in 7th place shooting a team total of +75. The women are led by
Zoe Banack who is currently tied for 15th and shot 15 over par on the day. Following Banack is
Abigail Goettle in 20th place shooting +17.
Tori Worner sits in 30th and shot 21 over par. In 35th is
Meadow Roberts who shot +22 and in 45th is Michaela Resler who finished the day shooting 30 over par.
Leading the tournament on the women's side is the University of Minnesota-Crookston with a team total of 47 over par. The Golden Eagles are led by freshman, Emma Pierson, who finished the day shooting 7 over par.
The Beavers now look towards round 2 in Bemidji where both the men's and women's teams will tee off at 8:30 am for the last round of the Don Niskanen Classic and the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament.
