Minot State Men's Wrestling traveled to Minnesota State, Mankato and fought hard in a 43-3 loss. Mankato earned wins at 125, 133, and 141 pounds, followed by pins at 149 and 157 pounds, a technical fall at 165 pounds, and decisions at 174 and 184 pounds, giving them a strong lead.
The Beavers showed determination and skill in every match.
Gavin Turk wrestled a competitive match at 174 pounds, keeping it close before falling 4-1, and Minot State earned its lone win of the night at 197 pounds when
Shafer Ehmke pulled out a 7-5 victory. The match concluded with a close decision at 285 pounds.
While the scoreboard was tough, Minot State demonstrated grit, effort, and teamwork throughout the lineup. Bright spots like Turk's competitive effort and Ehmke's clutch win give the team momentum to build on as the season moves toward its final stretch.
