MINOT, N.D. – These teams have a history of low-scoring affairs.
The No. 4 Minot State women's hockey team played to a scoreless tie with No. 2 Midland, the second tie between the teams this season and the second time in the past 12 months they've played without a goal through regulation.
Minot State and Midland played to a 2-2 tie back in October, and the teams played scoreless into overtime last March at nationals.

Jillian Ackerman made 37 saves for her 6
th shutout of the season but settled for the tie as Midland goalie Natalie Rampton made 29 saves, keeping the Beavers off the board.
In the end, the Warriors grabbed the win in an 8-round shootout.
Ackerman stopped 6-of-8 chances in the shootout for Minot State, which hosts No. 2 Midland again Saturday at 3:45 p.m.
