MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State men's hockey team goes into its rivalry week with in-state foes Jamestown and Mary holding strong in the ACHA national poll, checking in at No. 4 once again this week.

The Beavers (4-0-1 overall), who swept a weekend exhibition series with Briercrest, received 675 points in the second ACHA Men's Division I poll released today to hold on to the No. 4 spot. Minot State was ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll and in last week's first poll.

The poll currently is based on coaches' votes, then switches to a computer poll in November.

Minot State's in-state rivals and foes this week, Jamestown and Mary, checked in at No. 9 and No. 11, respectively, with the Jimmies remaining at No. 9 with 529 points, while the Marauders slipped one spot to No. 11 with 477 points.

Minot State hosts Jamestown (3-1-0) tonight at the Maysa Arena at 7 p.m., then plays at Jamestown on Friday. The Beavers wrap up the week playing at Mary on Saturday night.
