MINOT, N.D. – Minot State women's hockey is set to host the University of Jamestown for a two-game series this week at Maysa Arena before taking a two-week break from competition.
The Beavers remain undefeated against the Jimmies in their head-to-head matchups dating back to October 2022. The teams last met in a two-game series in Jamestown to open the season, where Minot State earned 2-1 and 3-1 victories, respectively.
Despite the Beavers' unbeaten record in the series, Jamestown has proven to be a challenging opponent, pushing Minot State to several close contests, including five overtime games since the 2022 season.
Minot State has established its identity as a fast, physical team with a balanced offensive attack. Jade Olszewski leads the Beavers with three goals through six games, while Kinley Brassard and Kaitlyn Snyder have each recorded two goals.
Six additional skaters have recorded two points apiece through six games, highlighting the depth of the Beavers' lineup and ability to generate offense throughout the roster.
The Beavers have also received strong play in net. Junior goaltender Jillian Ackerman has posted a 1.89 goals-against average, a .917 save percentage and one shutout across five appearances.
Sophomore Bailey Grunewald has appeared in two games, making one start in Minot State's recent matchup against Midland University. Grunewald holds a 2.25 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
Minot State opens the series Thursday night at Maysa Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. The Beavers and Jimmies will meet again on Friday at 3:45 p.m. in the final matchup before Minot State's two-week break.
