MINOT, N.D. – The top-ranked Beavers continue to dominate, rolling past another top-10 foe as the season starts to wind down.
Meeting for the first time since the 2020-21 ACHA National Tournament, the Minot State men jumped in front early and controlled the game all night on Friday, beating the No. 9 Calvin Knights 5-0 at the Maysa Arena.
The two teams meet again on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Maysa Arena to wrap up their weekend series. Saturday also is "Senior Night" for the Beavers, who will honor

Joey Moffatt,
Eric Krywy, and
Logan Rands, between the first and second periods, as each will be playing their final game at the Maysa Arena.
Friday, the Beavers started fast as
Logan Cyca netted what turned out to be the game-winner 4 minutes into the action, finishing off assists from two of Minot State's seniors, Clyne and Rands.
It stayed a one-goal contest until early in the second period when
Jay Buchholz scored 2:24 into the session.
The Beavers then broke the game open late in the period as
Colby Joseph scored 1:13 before the second intermission, then his second of the night early in the third made it a 4-0 game.
Jeremy Dewar added a goal with 6:07 left to play, icing the victory.
William Dyke made 22 saves in goal for his fourth shutout of the season.
