Minot State Women's Wrestling returns home this Sunday at 2 p.m. as the Beavers host Jamestown in a key dual match up. Minot State enters the contest with a 6-7 overall dual record, while Jamestown comes in at 2-2. The two programs are very familiar with eah other, splitting their previous two meetings this season, though Jamestown holds a slim 5-4 edge in the all-time series.
The Beavers' projected lineup begins with
Kaiya Lopes (6-11) at 103 pounds and
Alexa Garcia at 110, followed by an open weight at 117.
Skye Shelmerdine (9-16) is slated to compete at 124, while Pua Beebe (17-11) anchors the middle weights at 131. One of Minot State's top performers this season,
Haleigh Lematta (19-4), will compete at 138 and is ranked No. 5 in Region 6 in the latest NWCA rankings.
Chloe Parsons (3-7) is expected at 145,
Madison Parson (0-14) at 160, and
Madilyn Schuck (13-11) at 180. Rounding out the lineup is
Aniya Herbin (14-8) at 207, who is also ranked No. 5 in Region 6. With the rivalry tied this season, the Beavers will look to use their home-mat advantage to gain momentum against the Jimmies.
