MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – For the second straight year, the Adrian Bulldogs spoiled Minot State's title hopes.
The 9

Last year, the Bulldogs beat the Beavers 4-0 in the semifinals to end Minot State's season.
Sunday's setback, Minot State's first loss since December, ends the Beavers' hopes for a 4

Adrian (Mich.) jumped in front with 8 minutes, 6 seconds gone in the first period, then stretched its lead to 2-0 with a power-play goal midway through the second period.
The Bulldogs put the game away with a goal 6:19 into the third period for a comfortable 3-0 lead.
Minot State spoiled the shutout with 2:20 left when
Joey Moffatt scored off assists from
Christian Kadolph and
Jay Buchholz, but could get no closer as Adrian added one final empty-net goal with 25 seconds left.
Minot State's
