MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State student-athletes set the bar high with an outstanding fall semester in the classroom, and then the Beavers surpassed that high standard this spring.
The Minot State Athletic Department released the GPA for all Beaver student-athletes for the spring 2026 semester today, and the Minot State student-athletes crushed it in the classroom with a 3.237 department-wide GPA.
Minot State student-athletes have now maintained a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or higher for 14 consecutive semesters dating back to the fall of 1999.
For the 2025-26 academic year, the Minot State student-athletes had a department-wide cumulative GPA of 3.29, the highest athletic department GPA for an academic year in the past six years.
"Our student-athletes have demonstrated a strong commitment to academic success, earning a number of academic distinctions and awards while balancing the demands of competition and the classroom," Vice President for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics
Kevin Harmon said. "Their achievements reflect the dedication, discipline, and perseverance required to succeed as both students and athletes.
"At Minot State University, we emphasize that graduation is the ultimate goal of the student-athlete experience. The knowledge, skills, and experiences gained during their time here prepare our graduates to contribute to their professions, serve their communities, and make a positive impact wherever their paths take them. We congratulate these student-athletes on their accomplishments and look forward to their continued success."
Powering that impressive work in the classroom were 87 Beaver student-athletes who maintained a 4.0 GPA during the spring, while 201 total Minot State student-athletes had a 3.5 GPA or higher. Of those outstanding Beavers, 114 earned President's List honors (3.8 GPA or higher and enrolled for 12 or more credits in the spring), while 57 more earned Vice President of Academic Affairs Honor Roll honors (3.5 GPA or higher and enrolled for 12 or more credits in the spring).
Leading the way with a team GPA of 3.833 for the spring was the women's golf team, which had 3 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA.
Women's basketball was next in the spring semester with a 3.609 GPA and 5 players with a 4.0 GPA, while men's hockey was third-highest in the spring at 3.592, with 6 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA, softball was next with a 3.567 team GPA in the spring and 11 players with a 4.0, and baseball was the fifth program with a GPA exceeding 3.5 as the team checked in with a 3.526 spring GPA and 17 players with a 4.0 GPA.
Women's hockey was next with a team GPA of 3.471 and 6 players with a 4.0, volleyball posted a 3.336 team GPA in the spring and had 4 players with a 4.0 GPA, women's cross country has a 3.303 team GPA in the spring and 2 runners with a 4.0 GPA, women's soccer had a 3.19 team GPA and 3 players with 4.0 GPAs, men's cross country posted a 3.183 team GPA with 3 runners recording a 4.0, men's golf had a 3.124 GPA and 2 golfers with a 4.0 GPA, women's track and field had a 3.022 team GPA with 5 student-athletes posting a 4.0 GPA, men's track and field had a 2.962 GPA and 4 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA, football had a 2.946 team GPA and 10 players had a 4.0 GPA, men's basketball had a 2.916 GPA with 1 player posted a 4.0 GPA, men's wrestling had a 2.872 team GPA with 4 wrestlers posting a 4.0, and women's wrestling had a 2.583 team GPA, with 1 wrestler recording a 4.0 GPA.
Minot State student-athletes posted a department-wide cumulative GPA of 3.185 for the fall 2025 semester.
