Prior to MSU
Slade played three seasons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL), the last two full seasons with the Portage Terriers where in 111 games - including 15 playoff games - he had 34 goals and 59 assists. He played in 21 games each for Portage and the Dauphin Kings during the 2021-22 season, with 9 goals and 9 assists in those 42 games. ...Attended Elton/Rivers (Co-op) high school. ...Twin brother Sloan played for the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL and currently plays pro hockey in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) with the Tahoe Knight Monsters.
