Minot State Dome - Events
Not only does the Minot State Dome host basketball, volleyball and wrestling events for the Beavers, it also hosts many high school and youth tournaments as well as community and regional events.
In 2012-13, the Dome hosted both the North Dakota Class B Boys Basketball Tournament and the North Dakota Volleyball Tournament. The two events combined brought over 40,000 fans to the Dome and community of Minot.
Every year, the Minot State Dome hosts numerous community events including the Salvation Army Gift Distribution, North Dakota Special Olympics, Spring Honor Dance and Pow Wow and the Minot Dream Catchers (see above).
During the flood of 2011, the Dome served as shelter for hundreds of flood evacuees. The Dome's size and its ability to provide showers in the locker rooms have made it an ideal location for emergency services.
The Minot State Dome offers Minot State, the community of Minot, and the region of Northwest North Dakota a large, multi-purpose facility. The great staff and people associated with the building have helped make it a great place to have an event.
