Josh Hvidsten

Josh Hvidsen is in his second year coaching the Minot State pitching staff.
 
From Burlington, North Dakota,  Josh began making a name for himself in baseball as a standout leadoff hitter and left-handed pitcher for the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers and the Burlington Bulldogs. He was an integral cog in helping the Lakers reach the State Championship in 2003 and ultimately a second place finish.
 
Josh went on to play baseball at Minot State from 2005-2009.  In his first two years, Josh was a starter both as an outfielder and a pitcher.  He finished his last two years as a pitcher for the Beavers.

He graduated from Minot State in 2009 earning his Bachelor of Art Degree in Biology. Enrolling in the teacher education program, Josh returned to MSU and has since earned his teachers certificate and is currently employed as by the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch as an educator.
 
Josh describes himself as a cognitive and passionate personality who loves and respects the game of baseball. He believes himself to be an asset to the Minot State Baseball program as he is willing to work hard to help all Beaver players push hard for their personal and collective goals both on and off the diamond.

Hvidsen currently lives in Minot.
