Matt is a former baseball player who returned to Minot State in the fall of 2023 as the pitching coach for the Beavers, and as a graduate assistant in the sports information office.
Matt attended Minot State from 2018-2021 and received his bachelor degree in Corporate Fitness and Wellness Management.
Matt has a background in coaching baseball with private facilities, as well as on field experience with the WCBL. He also spent time playing professional baseball in California before working for the Beavers. He most recently was the pitching coach for the Weyburn Beavers in Saskatchewan.
