Tanner Wickham joined the Minot State baseball coach staff in the summer of 2021 and begins his third season as hitting coach for the Beavers. Along with his role with the teams offense, Coach Wickham will assist in all aspects of the program.
A graduate of Wickenburg High School in Wickenburg, Ariz., Tanner most recently finished his collegiate playing career at Nationally Ranked Benedictine University at Mesa where he helped the Redhawks advance to their first regional appearance in the NAIA National Tournament as a utility infielder. He hit .272 with 19 RBIs and 7 stolen bases in his final season with the Redhawks. Wickham also posted a career .927% fielding percentage.
Prior to playing at Benedictine, Wickham spent two seasons as utility player who hit one home run, had 11 RBIs, and stole six bases at Davis & Elkins College (W.V.), Wickham also pitched in six games for the NCAA Division II Senators.
Wickham started his collegiate career at Barstow Community College in California where he was used as a utility player.
Tanner is happily married to his wife Deanna, who is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Nursing at Minot State, while Tanner is on the verge of achieving his master's degree in Science of Sports Management.
