2022 Cross Country (Sophomore Season)
Ran a 10K personal-best of 33:48.0 at NCAA Division II Central Region Championship, finishing 172nd. ...Finished 88th at NSIC Championship in 28:24.6 on 8K course. ...Ran an 8K PR of 27:27.2, finishing 23rd at the Mystic-Marauder Invite. ...Ran a 6K PR of 20:08.2, finishing 48th at the MSU Moorhead Dragon Twilight Invitational.
 
2022-23 Track & Field (Junior Season)
9th in 4x400 relay at NSIC Outdoor Championship in 3:25.40, and 17th in 800 in 1:59.62. …6th in 4x400 relay at NSIC Indoor Championship in 3:25.99, 15th in 800 in 2:05.58, and 18th in 600 in 1:26.70. …PR in 1,500 (outdoor) in 4:10.82, finishing 8th at Al Bortke Open & Multi. …PRs in 600 (indoor) in 1:23.82, finishing 10th at SDSU Indoor Classic, and in 400 in 52.66, finishing 23rd at Bison Open.

2021 (Junior year)
Ran career-best 8K of 30:38.3 at Missouri Southern Stampede.

2020 Season (Junior) 
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the cross country season was canceled. 

Prior to MSU
Hartnell College sophomore Juan Gutierrez III will return to the NCAA level of competition this fall after signing his National Letter of Intent to attend Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota...  Attended San Jose State and competed for one year for the Spartans before enrolling at Hartnell College... Was the third Panther finisher at this year's CCCAA State Cross Country Championship placing 57th (21:52) in his first community college championship... 10th overall at the Modesto Pirate Invitational, 22nd at the Santa Ana Brubuker Invitational, and 45th at the Norcal Preview Meet at Toro Park... Overall winner in the1500 meters at the Wildcat cup in 4:07.25 and in the 800 meters (2:00.16)... A former San Benito High School standout, he will become the third Hartnell College to attend the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference school joining current team members Nick Merillana and Nina Arias.

At SJSU
Competed in three races... Best time came at the San Francisco Invitational (9/3) with a 27:21.0... Top finish, 18th place, was at the Santa Clara Duel (10/15).

High School
A 2016 graduate of San Benito High School in Hollister, Calif... Competed in cross country, track (coach Jess Morales) and wrestling (coach Bryan Decarli) for four years…earned All-Monterey Bay-Gabilan Division honors in 2014 & 2015…best times include 1600m (4:19) and 800m (1:58.9).... Senior of the Year in Track. 

Personal
Undeclared on a major...enjoys ultimate Frisbee and exploring in his spare time…hopes to pursue a career as a firefighter after graduation... More about Juan: "I am 22 years old... At the age of four I started competing year-round so competing is all I know"... "I'm a mama's boy so that means my mom was trying to convince me to go to school closer to home and on my free time I like to make funny videos and go to raves."
