Whitney Aberle

Whitney Aberle begins her third season as the head women's golf coach at Minot State University.

Aberle made the move three years ago from golfer to coach after a stellar four-year playing career for the Beavers.

In 2013-14, the Beavers finished ninth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in overall scoring average in the Beavers second full season in the NSIC.

In her first season as head coach, Aberle led Minot State to two meet titles including a first place finish at the 2012 Jamestown College Invitational. Aberle and the Beavers finished tenth at the NSIC Championships in their first season in the conference.

Originally from Sherwood, N.D., was a three-time All-Dakota Athletic Conference performer for Minot State. She was named the DAC's Most Valuable Senior and the league's Most Valuable Player after her senior season in 2010.

In 2010, Aberle helped the Beavers to its first ever Dakota Athletic Conference women's golf team title, qualifying for the 2010 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship in Rapid City, S.D. She finished 99th in the four-day event.
