Coach Bobby Verdugo joined the Minot State softball staff in the spring of 2024 after spending the past year and a half as the head coach at Colorado Northwestern Community College.
Coach Verdugo earned his degree in Literacy, Learning and Leadership, with a minor in History, in 2019 from the University of Arizona.
He has worked for the Tucson Unified School District as a Student Success Specialist and spent the past decade as a private softball and baseball instructor in Tucson, Arizona. He also served as President of the SOZO Softball club in Tucson, Arizona.
Prior to his time in Arizona he served as an assistant softball coach for Ball State in Indiana, and from 2021-2015 he served in the Navy in San Diego, California, as a Petty Officer 3rd Class..
