Coach Duarte, a graduate of Enterprise High School in Redding, CA, started his college career playing two seasons at Shasta College (CA). He then transferred to nationally ranked Benedictine University at Mesa, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Danny most recently finished his career helping Benedictine University at Mesa reach their first regional appearance in the NAIA Opening Round as an infielder and catcher. In his final season in 2021, Danny hit .361 with a .441 on-base percentage and 41 RBIs for the Redhawks.

Duarte’s collegiate coaching career started as an assistant coach in the Coastal Plains League for the Macon Bacon in 2023, where he worked with the hitters and catchers. This is Duarte's first season at Minot State. He is also pursuing his master's in Science of Sports Management.
