Coach Alvarado joined the Minot State coaching staff in the summer of 2026.
A former player at NSIC rival the University of Mary, Coach Alvarado pitched and played third base for 3 seasons for the Marauders after starting her collegiate career at Cameron University (Okla.). She earned 10 wins in her career at Mary in the circle and hit .288 with 5 home runs and 48 RBIs for the Marauders.
Earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Coach Alvarado spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Mary.
A product of Yucaipa High School in California, Coach Alvarado was a member of the 2015 State Championship and Cal-Hi Sports Softball Team of the Year, and was twice named 1st team All-CBL during her high-school career.
