Coach Martelle joined the Minot State women's hockey staff in the summer of 2023 as an assistant coach.
A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Coach Martelle was station in Minot as a member of the Air Force and has lived in the Magic City since. He has coached in the Minot Hockey Booster program since 1999 at all levels from Learn to Play to Junior Gold.
Coach Martelle played hockey from age 8 and through high school, and has been a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach since 2003. He also attended the USA Hockey program director course and a regional USA Hockey ADM Symposium.Â
He also holds two Associate Degrees in Applied Science.
