Mike Stetson was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications and Media Relations in July of 2021.

Stetson was most recently the Sports Information Director at Waldorf University (Iowa) from 2017 to 2021. 

A native of Fairbanks, Alaska, Stetson is well traveled, attending college at the University of Idaho where he received degrees in History and Journalism. Following his graduation in 1996, Mike spent a year in his hometown covering high school sports for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner before moving to Nampa, Idaho, where Mike covered both The College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University for the Idaho Press-Tribune. Mike received his Master's from Waldorf University in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Sports Management.

During his 16 years as a sports reporter in Idaho, Mike also covered professional rodeo, minor-league hockey and minor league baseball, and was sports editor for 2 years at the Press-Tribune. 

Mike moved into the role as sports information director at Northwest Nazarene, an NCAA Division II school, in 2013 where he promoted the Crusaders’ 15 intercollegiate sports programs.

Mike lives in Minot with his wife Diana, and their three children, Heavenlee, Hannah, and Raleigh.
