(MINOT, N.D.) – Lauryn DeGuzman has been named Minot State Athlete of the Week for her remarkable performances this weekend for MSU softball.
 
The true freshman was nearly unstoppable at the plate while being rock-solid in the field for the Beavers at their first Air-Supported Dome Tournament.
 
DeGuzman went .545 at the dish with six hits in 11 at bats. She hit one double on the weekend and walked once. Lauryn also drove in four runs while scoring three of her own and stole five bases.
 
DeGuzman has been having a fantastic freshman season and this is the first time she has been named Athlete of the Week.
