Green Gerding enters the 2016-17 season with an overall record of 356-258, all at Minot State.

During the 2015-16 season, MSU went 11-18 with an 8-14 conference record. The Beavers were ranked third in the NSIC in steals per game (8.7) and fourth in turnover margin (+1.93). Green Gerding coached Kari Clements to become the first player in Minot State history to earn NSIC All-Freshmen team honors. 

In 2014-15, The Beavers ended the season with a 12-17 overall record and a 7-15 conference record. The Beavers finished in the top of the conference in total field goal percentage (.453) and rebounding defense (34.6 Avg/G).

In her second full season (2013-14) in the NSIC, she brought Minot State to a new level of success at the NCAA Division II level. Green Gerding brought MSU to a 19-9 overall record and a fifth place regular season finish in the NSIC. She coached Carly Boag to All-American honors for the second straight year while also helping Boag be named NSIC Player of the Year.

In 2012-13, she led the Beavers to their first season in the NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Beavers went 13-14 overall. Green Gerding coached Carly Boag, who earned Daktronics All-American Honorable Mention honors.

In 2011-12, an independent season for MSU, Green Gerding and the Beavers went 11-15 on the season playing mainly on the road.

Under the direction of Green Gerding and her staff, the 2010-11 women's basketball team finished 22-8, the 22 wins where a new school record. For the sixth straight season Green Gerding has coached an NAIA All-American, Caroline Folven was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American becoming the 11th player under the direction of Green Gerding to be named to the list.

During her first 16 seasons at MSU, the Beavers have advanced to the NAIA Division II Quarterfinals twice, captured two NDCAC postseason championships, won one Dakota Athletic Conference tournament championship and a share of a NDCAC regular season title.

The Beavers tied a NAIA Division II national scoring record with 131 points against Minnesota-Crookston on Dec. 14, 1999 and led the nation in field goal shooting percentage from the field in 1998.

Green Gerding was an assistant coach at Montana State University-Billings for three seasons prior to taking the head coaching job at Minot State. She earned her Master's Degree in Counseling from MSU-Billings.

As an athlete, Green Gerding was named NAIA Kodak All-American at Montana State University-Northern. She left the school as its all-time leading scorer. She played one season of semi-professional basketball in New Zealand. In 2003 she was inducted into the Montana State University-Northern Athletic Hall of Fame. She is one of 29 raters for the USA Today Women's Basketball Coaches Poll.

Green Gerding is originally from Clancy, Mont. She is married to David Gerding and they have three children, Riley, Makya and Kaimbree Lynn.
