The 14th ranked
Minot State
Football team will play their first road game of the year when they travel to Concordia-St. Paul. The Beavers are coming off of a season opening loss to Bemidji State, but the team did defeat the Golden Bears last year at home 24-21. Head coach Paul Rudolph says the Beavers need some minor adjustments but feels the team can bounce back this weekend.
Paul Rudolph,
MSU football coach:There's no question we can play with them. The fact of the matter is we've got to take care of business. Get our defense to continue to play well and see if we can shore up a few things special teams wise and then we got to get our offense playing better. Well that quarterback he's the all-time leading quarterback, passing guy in the state of
Minnesota coming out of high school and he's got three years in their system now and we gotta make sure we contain that and put some pressure on him and then they got a wide out who's a pretty good big play guy. We gotta know where he's at.
Blair Dinsdale, junior:They do have an O-line coach but we feel like defensively we'll be able to match up well against them. And we know they're an athletic team, we're just gonna have to play a full game take it one play at a time and I think the defense will be alright. The offense has been coming along great this week too, they've been working hard we've been taking some one on one reps and they've improved a lot.
Game time tomorrow is at 1 p.m. and we'll have a complete recap on Sunday night on the Paul Rudolph show
