WILLMAR, Minn. – Minot State University wrestling stayed unbeaten in duals as the Beavers earned three wins Friday at the Ridgewater College Duals.

MSU topped Itasca (Minn.) Community College 35-12, defeated host Ridgewater CC 26-18 and finished off the day with a 22-17 win over St. Johns (Minn.). After an opening win over Jamestown College and the three wins Friday, MSU moved to 4-0 on the season.

“It was a good day overall,” MSU head coach Robin Ersland. “We wrestled well, real well.”

Three different Beavers went 3-0 on the day for MSU. Cody George (Jr., Clancy, Mont.) led the way with two pins. Drew Spaulding (Fr., Bismarck, N.D.) and Marcus Bausman (Fr., Minot, N.D.) were both 3-0 as well with Bausman picking up a pin.

Deon Buhl (Sr., Lacey, Wash.) and Wade Weppler (Sr., Minot, N.D.) each went 2-0 on the day for Minot State. Joshua Douglas (Fr., Kissimmee, Fla.), Marcus Wilson (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), Sean Small (So., Marianna, Fla.) and Kirby Kain (Fr., Williston) all earn a pin on the day.

The Beavers are off for nearly a month as MSU's next outing is an exhibition match against the University of Regina in Weyburn, Saskatchewan Jan. 4, 2011.
