Box Score MINOT, N.D.- The Minot State University volleyball team dropped their sixth consecutive match Tuesday night.
The Beavers fell to the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. in straight sets 25-18, 25-16, 25-18.
MISU was led by freshman
Mallory Sall (OH, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia) with nine kills and seven digs.
Emily Byrne (So., S, Reno, Nev.) moved the ball to hitters to total 22 kills through the three sets.
Errors doomed the Beavers from the start. Throughout the night they totalled 31 attack errors compared to 28 kills.
The Marauders were led by Lauren Boldt and Allison Opp with 13 and 12 kills, respectively.
"It was definitely a step back for us tonight," said head coach
Travis Ward. "With a young team, you are going to make errors and tonight we made a lot. We are going to get better from this and move forward. We have the right group of kids here, we just need to work harder."
Minot State will look to snap their streak this weekend. They host conference matches against Upper Iowa University Friday night (7 p.m.) and Winona State University Saturday afternoon (3 p.m.).
