Omar has posted a 300-100-28 record in his 21 seasons. James Price is in his first season as the head coach at Upper Iowa. RANKINGS: MSU remained the 13th ranked team in the country this week in the Oct. 11 NSCAA Coaches poll. Neither of this week's opponents received votes.

SERIES HISTORY: The Beavers are 4-2 against Winona State as they defeated the Warriors twice last season including in the NCAA tournament. MSU won its first ever game against Upper Iowa last season and now have a 1-4 record against the Peacocks.

NOTING THE BEAVERS: After its two wins last week Minot State remains undefeated in conference play and holds a three-point lead in the new NSIC standings based on points. The Beavers got off to their best start in school history at 8-0, improving on their 7-0 start from a year ago. There are three teams chasing Minot State who each have two losses in Bemidji State, Augustana and Minnesota State. The Beavers have defeated BSU, AU and will play Minnesota State on the road later this year.

NOTING THE WARRIORS: Winona State has stayed pretty even with its opponents so far as they have scored 19 goals, but allowed 16. With a shot on goal percentage of 53.3 the Warriors have allowed a shot on goal percentage of 53.6. They also remain close, statistically, in assists (13 to 12) and corner kicks (44 to 42).

NOTING THE PEACOCKS: Upper Iowa is currently riding a five-game winning streak as the team heads to Mary before coming to play the Beavers. The Peacocks have spread the ball around well this season with four players having scored two goals and another four having scored one. UIU is led by freshman Birgit Rijnders in points with seven as she has assisted on three goals this season. Both of Rijnders goals this year have been game winners.
