RECORDS: Minot State is 2-6 overall, 2-6 in NSIC play and is 1-3 in the NSIC North Division. MSUM comes into the weekend with a record of 4-4, 4-4, 2-2.

RECENT HISTORY: MSU got its ground game going Saturday in a 38-30 win over Minnesota Crookston. The Beavers, led by a school record 264 yards from
Ben Zahniser, finished with 320 rushing yards, the most on the ground since moving to NCAA Division II. Zahniser also scored four times.
Jose Escobar came off the bench to pass for 144 yards and a TD to help the offense. The Dragons also gained 320 yards rushing in a 47-16 win over the University of Mary. Demetrius Carr passed for 166 yards and ran for 143 to pace the offense.
OVERALL SERIES: MSUM leads the series 3-1 dating back to Minot State's first season in the Northern Sun.
LAST TIME OUT: MSUM scored 17 fourth quarter points to rally past Minot State at Herb Parker Stadium in 2015.
Porter Sturm had a 128 yards receiving and a touchdown to lead Minot State's offense. Both
Isaiah Weed and
Jose Escobar earned time at QB for the Beavers with Escobar throwing for 162 yards total. Demetrius Carr threw for 158 in the win for MSUM.
NOTING THE DRAGONS: Minnesota State University Moorhead's Demetrius Carr has been a dual threat this season, passing for 1,560 yards and 17 TDs and rushed for 263 yards and four scores… Damon Gibson has caught 62 passes for 1,055 yards and 11 TDs already in 2015… Michael Strand, Abe Roehrich and Aaron Bohl all have 50 or more tackles on the season with Strand leading the way with 59 overall.

Ben Zahniser had his best day in his young Beaver career and it turned out to be the best rushing day in school history.
