SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Minot State volleyball team fell in four sets (18-25, 15-25, 25-17, 22-25) at Sioux Falls on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers fall to 4-16 (0-11 NSIC) while the Cougars improve to 12-4 (7-4 NSIC).
Sophomore
Shelby Spuller led the Beavers, posting a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs.
Emily Falldorf led the Minot State offense with 11 kills while
Brileigh Boyce added nine kills.
Kelsey Dewulf recorded 32 assists along with four digs in the match.
Karli Koza posted a team-high 14 digs, while
Hayley Swain notched a team-high seven blocks. Spuller, Falldorf and
Jeanne Brenner added four blocks each.
The Beavers recorded a .102 hitting percentage in the match, including a .364 mark in the fourth set.
Minot State posted an 11-9 advantage in blocks over the Cougars.
The Beavers return to action next weekend when they travel to No. 5 Minnesota Duluth on Friday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. and St. Cloud State on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.
