MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State volleyball team will seek to use the momentum of a 3-0 sweep of Mary this weekend as it hosts a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conferences matches in the Minot State Dome. The Beavers host Southwest Minnesota State on Friday (Oct. 12) at 6 p.m. and then meet Sioux Falls on Saturday (Oct. 13) at 2 p.m.

Jeanne Brenner and
Shelby Spuller each contributed 13 kills to lead the Beavers offensive attack.
Minot State, which is 10-11 overall and 4-8 in the NSIC, reached double digits in wins with its victory over Mary marking the first time that MSU has reached that plateau since the 2014 season. The Beavers are currently 12th in the NSIC standings, but are just two games out of the eighth spot.

Karli Koza who is fourth in the NSIC averaging 4.92 digs per set.
Senior setter
Kelsey Dewulf is ranked sixth in the conference in assists averaging 10.32 per set, while Spuller is seventh in the NSIC with a 3.84 kills per set average.
Junior
Hayley Swain is also ranked among the NSIC leaders as she is 13th with a .322 hitting percentage.
Both Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls have records of 13-7 overall and 8-4 in the NSIC.
