MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State women's soccer team will conclude the regular season with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this weekend. The Beavers will visit St. Cloud State on Friday (Oct. 26) at 1 p.m. and then host Minnesota Duluth on Sunday (Oct. 28) at 12 p.m. in Herb Parker Stadium.
The Beavers, who are ranked ninth in the latest NCAA Central Region rankings, will be looking to lock up a home match in the upcoming NSICÂ Tournament. The top four teams in the regular season standings will host an opening round tournament match on Oct. 31 and the Beavers are currently fifth in the league standings with 7-4-2 conference record and 23 points. Minot State controls its own destiny in terms of hosting a tournament match as two Beavers victories would ensure a home match.
St. Cloud State is currently one point ahead of Minot State with 24 points and a Beavers victory over the Huskies would vault MSU into fourth place in the standings. If the Beavers are victorious on Friday, a victory on Sunday over Minnesota Duluth would secure the fourth spot.
Minot State is currently riding a three-match winning streak and are 4-0-1 in its last five matches. The Beavers have outscored the opposition 12-1 in the last five matches and have recorded four shutouts during that span.

Sydnee Canales has five assists, a goal and seven points.
