Beavers Register Key Victory at St. Cloud State

ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Sophomore Sofia Lewis scored two goals and Erin Rafferty posted her fourth shutout of the season leading Minot State to a 2-0 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory over St. Cloud State on Friday at Husky Stadium. With a victory, Minot State leapfrogged St. Cloud State into fourth place in the NSIC standings and controls its own destiny to host a NSIC Tournament match on October 31st.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sofia Lewis gave Minot State a 1-0 lead at the 41:22 mark of the first period off an assist from Audrey Wilson
  • Sofia Lewis secured the victory for the Beavers with her second goal of the match at the 86:20 mark on an assist from Jordyn Cook
  • Erin Rafferty turned aside four shots to earn the shutout
