MINOT, N.D. -- Senior Kywan Owens recorded 15 tackles and had an interception, but Minot State lost to Bemidji State 69-7 to Bemidji State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game on Saturday in Chet Anderson Stadium in the Beavers season finale.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bemidji State scored three first-quarter touchdowns to take a 20-0 lead after the opening period
• Bemidji State tacked on an 85-yard punt return and a pair of touchdown passes to increase the lead to 41-0
• Minot State got on the scoreboard with 1:49 to play in the first half when Ben Bolinske connected on a 22-yard touchdown pass to Lavante Bushnell
• Bemidji State had two touchdown passes in the third quarter increasing the lead to 55-7
• Bemidji State closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter with a pair of touchdowns

• Kywan Owens finished his career by recording 15 tackles and intercepting a pass
• Kywan Owens reached double figures in tackles for the fifth consecutive game and finished the season with 108 tackles
