MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State football team will conclude the home portion of the 2018 schedule against St. Cloud State on Saturday (Nov. 3) at 1 p.m. in Herb Parker Stadium. It will also mark Senior Day for the Beavers as

THIS WEEK:Â Minot State plays its final home game of the season today as it hosts St. Cloud State in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest at Herb Parker Stadium.
LAST TIME THEY MET (Nov. 11, 2017):Â Junior
Kiante Goudeau returned two interceptions for touchdowns and tied the school record with three interceptions overall as Minot State defeated St. Cloud State 23-13 in Husky Stadium. It was a day of firsts for the Beavers program as Minot State posted a victory over a team that finished with a winning record for the first time since turning NCAA Division II in 2011. The win over St. Cloud State also marked the first time the Beavers have beaten the Huskies after entering the game with an 0-9-1 overall record. Additionally, it marked the first time Minot State posted three road victories in NSIC play and the Beavers 3-3 road record is the best since moving up to Division II.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEAVERS:Â Junior
Lane Torgerson rushed for a career-high 224 yards and a touchdown, but Minot State dropped a 51-26 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game to Minnesota State Moorhead at Scheels Field at Nemzek Stadium. Torgerson's 224 yards ranks as the second-highest total in the DII era behind only the 255 yards set by Ben Zahiser in 2016.
Kywan Owens set a school record for the Beavers as he recorded 22 tackles on the afternoon.

Lane Torgerson had a career day in the Beavers game at Minnesota State Moorhead as he rushed for 224 yards and a touchdown. He scored on a 68-yard run and also had a 73-yard rush. His 224 yards came on only 11 carries, which resulted in Torgerson breaking the school record for rushing average in a game at 20.4 yards per carry.
TACKLING MACHINE:Â Senior
Kywan Owens produced the best tackling game in Minot State history against Minnesota State Moorhead as he had 22 total tackles. Owens had 15 solo tackles and assisted on seven other tackles on the day. Owens, who leads the Beavers with 81 tackles on the season, has reached double figures in tackles in three straight games and four times overall on the season.
ABOUT ST. CLOUD STATE:Â St. Cloud State enters today's game with a 6-3 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the NSIC North. The Huskies had their three-game winning streak halted last week in a 37-24 loss to Bemidji State. St. Cloud State has a 3-1 record in road games this season with victories over Minnesota Crookston, Northern State and Sioux Falls.
