WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State women's basketball team hit three-of-four three-pointers in the first quarter and continued to light it up beyond the arc as Minot State suffered an 84-46 loss on the road at Winona State on Friday night in Winona, Minn.
The loss drops the Beavers to 10-13 on the season and 5-12 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games while the Warriors improve to 12-9 and 10-7 in NSIC play.

How It Happened
- The teams traded points early and a layup by Kari Clements gave the Beavers an 8-7 lead with 6:28 left in the first quarter.
- The Warriors outscored Minot State 18-3 over the next six minutes to take a 14-point lead into the second quarter.
- After trailing by 20 points at the half, the Beavers rallied for six consecutive points to trim the Warrior lead to 45-31.
- WSU capped the third quarter with a 21-8 run and outscored the Beavers 18-7 in the fourth quarter to clinch the 84-46 victory.
