MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State baseball team extended its win streak to five games after notching a 6-2 series-sweeping victory over Sioux Falls on Sunday at Corbett Field.
 
The Beavers move to 13-9 overall and 7-3 in NSIC contests this season.
 
How It Happened
	- Michael Borst connected on an RBI single in the first inning and Andrew Black added one in the second inning as the Beavers led 2-0 after two innings.
 
	- Black blooped an RBI single to center field, scoring Celestino Rodriguez and giving Minot State a 3-0 lead.
 
	- Sioux Falls scored its first run in the sixth inning and tacked on another run in the seventh off a solo home run to cut the Beaver lead to 3-2.
 
	- With the bases loaded, Jake Collins touched home on an RBI single by Geordie McDougall in the bottom of the eighth.
 
	- Tyler Wiltshire caught the USF defense off guard with a bases-loaded bunt single to score Wyatt Schlosser and extend the Beaver lead to 5-2.
 
	- Black scored the final run of the game on a wild pitch as the Beavers notched a 6-2 victory.
 
 Inside the Box Score
	- Collins, Schlosser and Black led the Beavers with two hits each.
 
	- Four Beavers recorded one hit.
 
	- Black tallied a team-high two RBI.
 
	- Starter Zach Newman improved to 2-0 on the season after tossing six innings while allowing two runs on six hits and striking out eight Cougars.
 
	- Aaron Kern threw two innings in relief and struck out a trio of hitters while Jack Gamba notched two strikeouts while pitching the final inning in relief.
