(MINOT, N.D.) -- Minot State University football looks to get on the right track with it's first win of the 2019 season on a road trip to Bismarck, N.D. The Beavers face the University of Mary with the Big Lake Trophy on the line.

Minot State
- MSU moved to 0-2 after falling in a tight contest 14-10 against Northern State University.
- After falling behind 14-0 early, the Beavers battled back by scoring 10 points in the final seven minutes of the second half to go into halftime trailing 14-10.
- The Beavers were not able to get much going offensively in the second half and the game ended with a last-minute pass into the endzone that fell to the ground.
- Senior Kicker/Punter JoseLuis Moreno is having a fantastic season and did nothing to hurt his potential All-American status in this game. He averaged 46.2 yards on his 9 punts, and converted on his lone field goal attempt.
- MSU averaged 4.3 yards per carry on the day, with 37 total carries for 169 yards.
- Freshman Ali Mohamed continues to impress, as he had 11 carries for 75 yards on the ground.
- The defense was led in tackles by Ivan Avalos, and Derek Wax, who each had 9 total tackles.
- Justin Coleman had an interception for Minot State.
University of Mary
- UMary has started the year off 0-2.
- In their first two games, the Mauraders have been outscored 87-19.
- UMary gained just 197 yards offensively in their game against Bemidji State last week.
