(MINOT, N.D.) -- The Minot State men's basketball team took on the Huskies of St. Cloud State tonight. Unfortunately, the Beavers were not able to key stops when they needed them combined with a 15-point deficit, and Minot State was not able to battle out of the hole in the second half, falling 82-65.
The Huskies were able to shoot over 50% in both halves, contributing to them scoring 82 points and picking up the victory.
The Beavers got a majority of their scoring from
Kyle Beisch,
Kody Dwyer, and
Max Cody. Beisch scored 24 points, Dwyer scored 16, and Cody scored 15 to combine for 55 of the team's 65 points. Cody led the team in both assists and rebounds, tallying seven and five, respectively.
The Huskies had four players score in double figures, led by Travon Marshall, who scored 32 points. Illiya Tyrtyshnik, Oliver Ehrnvall, and Anthony Roberts all scored in double digits.
The Beaver men's basketball team returns to the court tomorrow evening when they battle the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth Saturday evening at 5:30.
