MINOT, N.D. –
Minot State Athletics today released an updated 2021 wrestling schedule. The Beavers open the season on Jan. 7 against Minnesota State at the MSU Dome.
Minot State will host three meets during a season that sees the wrestling team compete on Thursdays beginning on Jan. 7. The Beavers host Minnesota State Mankato to open the season on Thursday, January 7 at 7 p.m. inside the MSU Dome.
MSU wrestling travels to St. Cloud on Jan. 14 for a matchup against the Huskies at Halenbeck Hall. The Beavers face the NSIC preseason coaches' poll No. 1 and defending NSIC Champions in what is sure to be a pressure-packed second dual of the season.
The Beavers return to the MSU Dome on Jan. 21 to face NSIC preseason coaches' poll No. 6 selection Northern State for another tilt against a talented NSIC opponent at 7 p.m.
Following the second home match of the season, the Beavers hit the road for two straight matches; first at rival UMary on Jan. 28; second at MSU Moorhead on Feb. 4.
MSU closes out the regular season with a home meet against Southwest Minnesota State on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. inside the MSU Dome.
All home wrestling contests during this shortened schedule will be free, but attendance will be based on the state, local, and CDC guidelines while monitoring the current conditions surrounding COVID-19.
Facial coverings are required in all indoor spaces on campus and fans are reminded to follow CDC guidelines in the MSU Dome including; proper hand-washing, social distancing, and health information. At no point are fans permitted near or on the floor.
The conference will continue to monitor the landscape and conditions surrounding the pandemic, locally, regionally, and nationally, and make any decisions or announcements, at a later date, as necessary.
