(MINOT, N.D.) – In a tight battle, the Beavers fell to Winona State on Friday night.

In the first half, the offenses started slowly, with the teams being locked at five at the first media timeout. The offense would slowly begin to pick up over the next five minutes, but the two would go into the under-10media timeout locked in an 11-11 tie. Out of the timeout, Trevor Rothstein would drain a three-pointer. Winona State would answer right back with a three of their own to tie the game back up, that would be part of an 11-0 Warrior run where they would take a 22-14 lead. The run would end with a Sam Ohlrich three. On the defensive end, Ohlrich would pick up a steal. Going into the media timeout, Winona State would pick up a personal and a technical foul after throwing the ball into the air following the call.
