MARSHALL, MN --The Minot State volleyball team lost to the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs in straight sets (6-25, 20-25, 18-25) Friday on the road at PE Gym.
The loss dropped Minot State's record to 0-14 overall and 0-8 in NSIC play.
Alexandra Koontz finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Beavers offense. MISU got 5 digs from Kylie Koontz to lead them defensively.

SET 2 | A 25-20 set-two loss put Minot State in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Beavers lost the first point and never took the lead before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Minot State was not able to win set three and was swept by Southwest Minnesota State. The Beavers dropped a tough set 25-18. Minot State trailed by as many as seven points as Southwest Minnesota State grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was knotted up nine times before the Mustangs took over in the second half of the stanza.
