BOULDER, Colo. - The Minot State women skated to a third straight win to open the 2021-22 season and netted their first shutout, as well.
Jordan Ivanco made nine saves in goal for the Beavers who dominated host the University of Colorado as Minot State scored a 3-0 road win in ACHA hockey on Friday night.
Megan Norris scored a pair of goals to lead the way for the Beavers (3-0-0 overall), who outshot the Buffalos (1-1-0) 50-9 on the night.
Anna German assisted on Norris' first goal, which came just 3 minutes, 54 seconds into the game.
Norris added an unassisted goal with 4:16 left in the second period, giving Minot State a bit of breathing room in a close contest, then Maia Aschberg capped the scoring with 2:38 left in the game, scoring off a
Mackenzie Heide assist.
The two teams play again Saturday night, then the Beavers complete a three-game road-trip to Colorado playing at Colorado State on Sunday morning.
